PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which the dry ice used for cleaning a die hole and preventing clogging does not remain in the die hole, and which can surely extrude a material and remove it from the inside of the die hole. SOLUTION: Just after the finish of the granulating process of a liquid material, dry ice is pushed into the die hole. The dry ice rapidly sublimates and its volume expands. Because of the pressure rise caused by the expansion, the residual material in the die hole is effectively extruded. The dry ice disappears soon. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
