The present invention relates to appliances that provide initial lighting up of solid combustible, such as corded wood or domestic coal, and their further steady burn up. A container of the appliance under the invention is arranged of a cylinder 1 having internal cavity 2 with a floor on its one end and uncovered its opposite end. There is a lateral hole 3 made in the lower part of the cylinder 1 connected with the internal cavity 2. Said internal cavity 2 of the cylinder1 along its lenght, in the area from the buttom of the cavity 2 up to about the lower point in the lateral hole 3, is filled in with wax or paraffin 4 surrounding a flammable core 5 made of a material, such as cotton fiber. Said flammable core 5 is located on a central line of the cylinder 1 so, that the lower end of the core 5 is positioned at the buttom of the said cavity 2, and its upper end is leveled at the said lateral hole 3 made in the cylinder 1. Said container of the appliance according to the invention might be made, for instance, of forest residual: lapwood or any material contining wood as its part, as well as of pressed pulverized coal.
