<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric brake device capable of prolonging a service life of an electric actuator. <P>SOLUTION: Current is not carried to an actuator coil 67 based on a parking indication signal 151 (time T2) and a parking release indication signal 152 (time T3) within predetermined time t0 from output time (time T1) of the parking release indication signal 152 by a parking operation switch of a vehicle. For this reason, rise of temperature of the actuator coil 67 of the electric actuator provided in a parking brake mechanism is suppressed, and reduction of a service life of the electric actuator and the electric brake device does not occur, thereby improving reliability.
