<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change a functional configuration of an information processing system connecting a plurality of information processor to one another via a network, in detail, the configuration of a medical system connecting a plurality of medical instruments to one another via the network. <P>SOLUTION: In this medical system 100, all pieces of application software corresponding to a plurality of kinds of processing functions required from respective devices in the medical system 100 are previously stored in storage parts of controllers 1a-1c, image reader 2a and 2b, and a mammography processor 3. In connection to the respective devices, a JOB manager 5 designates the application software corresponding to the processing function executed by the connected device.
