<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar code reading device for easily switching the reading operation of a primary bar code and a two-dimensional bar code, and for speeding up a reading operation. <P>SOLUTION: This bar code reading device 1 is provided with a display part 10, an operation part 12 and a second reading start key 13 on the front face of its case body, and a pair of first reading start keys 14 on the both side faces of its case body. Also, the bar code reading device 1 has a reading port 15 formed on the back face of the case body, and a laser scanner 17 and an area sensor 18 are arranged in the reading port 15. At the time of reading a bar code, when a reading object is a one-dimensional bar code, a user depresses a first reading start key 14 to read one-dimensional bar code by using a laser scanner 17, and when the reading object is a two-dimensional bar code, the user depresses a second reading start key 13 to read a two-dimensional bar code by using an area sensor 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
