<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera equipped with an operation member which is good in operability in changing the content of setting, and which does not require new space or new parts for arrangement. <P>SOLUTION: The camera with which the content of the setting can be changed by a user is equipped with an imaging apparatus TL including a lens barrel 46 holding a photographic optical system forming the optical image of a subject, and an imaging sensor 16 capable of converting the optical image of the subject formed by the photographic optical system into an electrical image signal, and a microcomputer 49. The lens barrel 46 is a cylinder coaxial to the optical axis of the photographic optical system, and has a diaphragm ring 40 manually operated to be rotated by the user and a diaphragm linear sensor 41 outputting a signal in accordance with the rotational angle of the diaphragm ring 40.
