PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor capable of securing the gap of a coil required for breakdown voltage with one spacer, as to the coil having different full length of edgewise winding structure. SOLUTION: The reactor comprises a coil 2 in which plate faces of rectangular wires are wound so that the plate faces may be encountered mutually, and a spacer 3 formed in a comb shape inserted into each clearance between the coil 2 sides, from at least one coil surface of the coil 2. A groove is provided along the widthwise direction of the spacer 3 in the bottom of the recess of the comb-shaped spacer 3. When the spacer 3 is inserted between each edge of the coil 2, the spacer 3 is cut along the groove of the spacer 3 corresponding to the length of the coil 2.
