PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of shut-off performance of a cylindrical fuse caused by an element getting off-set and contacting with or coming close to the insulating cylinder when filled with silica sand for extinction of arc. SOLUTION: A narrow channel part 7 which is to become an electric current shut-off part is installed, and in order to prevent fracturing due to expansion and contraction incurred by power supply, a hole 8 is installed at the intermediate part of the narrow channel part 7 of an element 5 which is bent and folded in zigzag shape at the narrow channel part 7, and through which an insulating rod 9 is made to be penetrated.
