PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerated reinforced resin composition and a method for producing the same, having scarce reduction of mechanical strength and change in molding properties compared to that of a virgin material. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the reinforced thermoplastic resin composition comprising (A) 5-90 wt.% of vinyl based copolymer which is a raw material, (B) 0.5-60 wt.% of modified vinyl based copolymer, (C) 5-40 wt.% of fibrous reinforcing material which is a raw material and (D) 5-50 wt.% of crushed molded articles obtained by crushing a molded article comprising (d4) 95-50 wt.% of vinyl based copolymer comprising (d1) an aromatic vinyl based monomer, (d2) a vinyl cyanide based monomer, and (d3) at least a kind of monomers selected from other copolymerizable monomers and (d5) 5-50 wt.% of fibrous reinforcing material, wherein the sum of each component (A), (B), (C) and (D) is 100 wt.%.
