PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent compound having at least one fluorene structure and at least one carbazole structure. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescent compound has excellent electrical characteristics, light emitting property and high charge transportability. Therefore, the compound is useful as a host material suitable for fluorescent and phosphorescent dopants of all colors including red, green, blue, white, etc., and also as a charge transport material. Since the compound has superior current density, it is possible to produce an organic electroluminescent device having a high efficiency, low voltage, high luminance and long lifetime.
