PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror surface cooling type sensor capable of being miniaturized and of improving the workability in assembling. SOLUTION: A mirror 11 is attached to a cooling face 2-1 of a thermoelectric cooling element 2. A light projecting/receiving coaxial optical fiber 18 is mounted to irradiate the light obliquely to a mirror surface 11-1 of the mirror 11. One end 13-1 of a heat pipe 13 is mounted on a heating face 2-2 of the thermoelectric cooling element 2. The shape of the heat pipe 13 is determined to form a heat transfer passage from one end 13-1 of the heat pipe 13 to the other end 13-2, approximately in parallel along an optical axis of the optical fiber 18.
