PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve removing device capable of removing a valve element even when the valve element is attached firmly to a valve box, easily for example without peeling the finishing material from around a hand hole. SOLUTION: The device is to remove the valve element V2 of a valve device V installed on a buried pipe P from the valve box V1 by drawing out in the drawout direction L, wherein the device body 1 is equipped with a fixing mechanism A to fix the device body 1 to the valve box V1, a grasping mechanism B to grasp the head V3 of the valve element V2, and a reaction force receiving member C to abut to the valve box V1 and receive the reaction force, and in the condition that the device body 1 is fixed to the valve box V1 by the fixing mechanism A, the grasping mechanism B and the reaction force receiving member C can make relative movement in the drawout direction L, whereby the valve element V2 is removed upon moving the grasping mechanism B in the drawout direction L in the condition that the head V3 is grasped by the grasping mechanism B and the reaction force receiving member C is abutted to the valve box V1.
