PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a bag with carrier cords, which are prevented from coming off. SOLUTION: A continuously meandering cord 6' is put on a first paper strip 7, and further a second paper strip 11 is put thereon. They are bonded together by applying a pressure thereon from above the second paper strip 11 with a press roll 12, and then the bonded paper strips are cut along their center lines to be separated into left and right strips, which are cut as long as an appropriate length to obtain carrier portions each having a carrier cord 6', both ends of which are sandwiched between the first and second paper strips. The first paper strip 7 of each carrier portion is bonded onto the bag paper. The press roll 12 comprises on its surface a clearance groove 13 conforming to the prescribed location of the cord 6', which fits to the clearance groove 13 when the press roll 12 applies pressure thereon.
