<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut heat transmission, by separating a tandem type image forming device into two, between the chassis of the device. <P>SOLUTION: Only the section forming the images before fixing is built on the 1st chassis, while the fixing unit and the heat generating source are made on the 2nd chassis.
