PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate fitting of an annular seal to one end side of an outer ring. SOLUTION: In an assembling method of a double row tapered roller bearing, in which inside diameter of the annular seal 8 arranged on a flange part 21 side of an inner ring 2 is smaller than circumscribing circle diameter of a tapered roller 4 arranged on the flange part 21 side, the annular seal 8, the tapered roller 4, and a holder 6 are arranged in the outer peripheral surface of an inner shaft 2 on a flange part 21 side thereof to form an inner shaft assembly Kn, and an annular spacer 10 dividable in the circumferential direction is arranged between the flange part 21 of the inner shaft 2 and the annular seal 8. In the condition wherein the annular seal 8 is supported by the annular spacer 10, the outer ring 1 is pushed into the inner shaft assembly Kn to assemble the annular seal 8 in the outer ring 1, and thereafter, the annular spacer 10 is divided and removed.
