PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the prediction of failure early on the basis of operated state quantity of an apparatus including the entire device such as a refrigerating cycle in addition to, for example, a single piece of a compressor. SOLUTION: A plurality of measured magnitudes of refrigerant such as pressure and temperature of the refrigerating cycle device and the like are detected, the state quantity such as composite variable is operated on the basis of the measured magnitudes, and whether the device is normal or abnormal is determined on the basis of a result of the operation. By performing the learning in normal operation, a present state can be determined, and by performing the learning under forcible abnormal operation and operating the abnormal operation state during the present operation, the failure such as operation limit can be predicted on the basis of the variation in a Mahalanobis distance.
