PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing a UOE steel tube capable of enhancing the mechanical properties of a weld part. SOLUTION: A welding machine 3 to perform the submerged arc welding of butted ends of a steel tube 1 pressed in an O-shape is arranged in a UOE steel tube manufacturing device, and a weld part working device 2 is arranged on the downstream side in the conveying direction of the welding machine 3. The weld part working device 2 comprises a pair of forming rolls 22, 22 to hold a steel tube 1 from right and left sides, and a guide roll 21 arranged to press an outer circumferential surface of the butted ends of the steel tube 1 in the direction toward the inside diameter side from the outside diameter side.
