PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiving device capable of quickly outputting a video signal in activation, and to provide a television device, and a method for controlling the digital broadcast receiving device. SOLUTION: There are provided: a tuner for outputting a demodulation signal, where a reception signal in digital broadcast is demodulated; a digital signal processor for decoding the demodulation signal to output a first video signal to the outside; a general processor for generating a second video signal to be composited to the first video signal; a video signal composite circuit for compositing the second video signal to the first one; and a user interface for receiving the input of a start signal for instructing the start of the output of the video signal from the outside. Each of the digital signal processor and the general processor start a booting sequence according to the reception of the input of the start signal by the user interface.
