PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger for reducing a pressure loss capable of improving the uniformity of a fluid flow in an inflow header formed with an opening inlet of a heat transfer tube. SOLUTION: An upper tank 20 as the inflow header of a radiator 6 as the heat exchanger has an expansively opening part 21 forming an expansively opening passage 23 continuously expanding toward the downstream side of a flow of cooling water. The expansively opening passage 23 continuously expands in the flow direction of cooling water in the arrangement direction A2 of the heat transfer tube 31 in a tube row C of a radiator core 30 between an inflow port 24 being the uppermost stream passage cross section 23a and the lowermost stream passage cross section 23b. The width of the lowermost stream passage cross section 23b in the arrangement direction A2 is set to 2 times or more of the width of the inflow port 24 in the arrangement direction A2.
