PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cookstove capable of securing high heat efficiency by sufficiently exchanging heat with combustion gas without discharging the high temperature combustion gas from the whole outer periphery of a cooker such as a pan. SOLUTION: This gas cookstove has a surrounding cylinder 26 for surrounding a combustion part 210 of a gas burner 21, and a plate-like trivet 1 for covering an upper opening part 261 of the surrounding cylinder 26. The trivet 1 has a central opening hole area 11, and an unopened hole area 12 on its periphery. The opening hole area 11 is provided with an exhaust hole 111 for discharging the combustion gas by the gas burner 21 from the surrounding cylinder 26. The unopened hole area 12 is provided with a bank wall-like projection part 14 for supporting a bottom surface 92L of the cooker 9L on the outer peripheral edge, and a sub-projection part 16 for supporting a bottom surface 92S of a cooker 9S having a small bottom diameter inside the projection part 14. The height of the sub-projection part 16 is set lower than the projection part 14. A ventilation part 141 for naturally exhausting the combustion gas is formed in a rear part 14B of the projection part 14.
