PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gel composition for external use which enables the production of a sheet skin care preparation for external use excellent in external appearance and a feeling of use. SOLUTION: The gel composition for external use is essentially composed of a copolymer of hydroxylethylacrylamide and a crosslinkable monomer, and a sheet for the skin care preparation is a sheet of the gel composition for external use in shape.
