PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a verotoxin neutralizer which excels in the action to competitively inhibit cell adhesion to both STX1 and STX2 of verotoxin produced by Escherichia coli O157:H7, is water soluble, and can be orally administered. SOLUTION: This neutralizer has, as an active ingredient, a globotrisaccharide (Gb<SB>3</SB>) polymer which is represented by the formula (wherein X and Y are each a constituting unit ratio of a linear polymer, and X is an integer and Y is 0 or an integer; and R is a hydrocarbon chain in which a hetero atom may be present) and has a selectivity to the bonding site of each B subunit of STX1 and STX2.
