PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape for a tape printing apparatus capable of facilitating formation of a section for detecting a trailer of the tape. SOLUTION: The trailer of a roll sheet 300 is folded with a release-coated paper 302 folded inward. At the trailer of the roll sheet 300, a surface on a recoding medium side with the sensor marks 305 not printed are continuous to a surface on the release-coated paper 302 side of the roll sheet 300 with the sensor marks 305 printed. The sensor marks 305 are concealed at the trailer of the roll sheet 300, so that there occurs a state equivalent to such a state that no sensor marks printed is formed. As a result, the sensor marks 305 detected continuously together with conveyance of the roll sheet 300 are made not to be detected at the trailer of the roll sheet 300, thus the end of the roll sheet 310 can be detected.
