<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome an increase in power loss and a difficulty for constituting a connection part for withstanding a large current when a backup power supply is connected to a power supply. <P>SOLUTION: In the power supply where DC power that is AC-DC converted from an AC power supply is DC-DC converted into a regulated operation voltage of a load apparatus, and fed, the connection part is provided so as to supply DC power from the other system to a power transmission path for carrying a high voltage/a low current in comparison with AC power. The connection can be established to a DC power supply in the other system for boosting and supplying power from a primary battery, a secondary battery or the other charging means in accordance with a voltage on the internal power transmission path. A detection signal is transmitted to the DC power supply in the other system by providing an interruption detecting circuit and a signal extracting section for transmitting the detection signal during interruption.
