<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method and device for creating a working program for enabling programming by an interaction from the shape of a drawing, when cutting a portion having narrower cross sectional area than area of each surface between a pair of opposed surfaces of a workpiece. <P>SOLUTION: Depth and allowance of a working object part of the workpiece are inputted by an input part 60 to form a pair of constraint surfaces crossing a Z-axis in relation to the working object part of the workpiece. A cross sectional shape of the working object part of the workpiece and a cross sectional shape of the part cut from the working object part are inputted by the input part 60. By referring to working path data stored in a ROM 40 in advance related to each of a plurality of cross sectional shapes, a working path is generated based on the inputted sectional shape.
