<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control DO (dissolved oxygen concentration) in a biofiltration device without using a special aeration device. <P>SOLUTION: Water to be treated is supplied from a reception well 12 to the biofiltration device 14 by free fall. Water level in the biofiltration device 14 is controlled by adjusting the opening degree of a flow regulating valve 26 installed in treated water discharge piping. Head drop during supply of the water to be treated is controlled by adjusting the water level in the biofiltration device 14 to adjust the amount of oxygen supplied to the water to be treated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
