摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission controller capable of detecting improper hydraulic pressure of both of an engaging side and a release side applied to a friction element. SOLUTION: Hydraulic pressure applied to each friction element is detected by two hydraulic switches 41, 42. When shifting gear from second speed to third speed in D range, L/C3 continues an engaging condition, H/C5 is shifted from a release condition to an engaging condition, and 2-4/B4 is shifted from an engaging condition to a release condition. In this gear shift control, the hydraulic switch 41 for detecting hydraulic pressure applied to H/C5 on a low pressure side is turned on when hydraulic pressure applied to H/C5 is increased at timing quicker than predetermined timing. If the hydraulic switch 42 for detecting hydraulic pressure applied to 2-4/B4 on a high pressure side is on at this time, the automatic transmission controller determines that double engagement occurs.
