PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a trouble to switch a finder mode in a regenerating mode. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a finder optical system which can observe an object image to be photographed using a light flux from an imaging lens 103, a mirror unit which is switched and driven in a 1st condition which reflects the light flux to the finder optical system and a 2nd condition which makes the light flux reach to an imaging device 106, and a control means 135 which controls drive of a mirror unit and together operates in the 1st mode which performs recording operation of an image using output from the imaging device and the 2nd mode which performs regenerating display of the recorded image.
