PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera provided with an operation member with excellent operability and needing no new space and no new component for the arrangement in the case of reproducing an electric image signal generated in advance as a visible image. SOLUTION: The camera is provided with: an imaging unit including a lens barrel 46 for supporting a photographing optical system; an image storage section 57 for storing the electric image signals generated in advance; a liquid crystal monitor LCD for displaying the electric image signals stored in a storage means as a visible image; and a microcomputer 49. The lens barrel 46 includes: a focus ring 32 which is cylindrical and coaxial with the optical axis of the photographing optical system and is manually turned by a user; and a focus linear sensor 35 for outputting a signal in accordance with the turning angle of the focus ring 32. The microcomputer 49 particularizes an electric image signal to be displayed on the liquid crystal monitor LCD among the electric image signals stored in the image storage section 57 on the basis of the signal outputted from the focus linear sensor 35.
