PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel rain-proof Japanese-style pantaloons for kimono having no oppressive feeling when worn on kimono and allowing a wearer to do her needs while having the pantaloons on. SOLUTION: The Japanese-style pantaloons for kimono are structured as follows: forming a right and left pair of almost cylindrical Japanese-style pantaloon half-divided bodies 3, 3 made of water-proof fabric, one side of the upper half part of which opens into a V-shape, and the lower end part of which is tapered; forming a Japanese-style pantaloon body 2 openable ranging from the front part to the crotch part so as to superimpose respective one end parts 4a, 4a of the upper sides 4, 4 of both the Japanese-style pantaloon half-divided bodies 3, 3 on each other through attaching a waist belt 5 all over the upper sides 4, 4 of both of the Japanese-style pantaloon half-divided bodies 3, 3; and attaching a suspender 6 for suspending the Japanese-style pantaloon body 2 through catching the vicinity of the both end parts and the vicinity of the intermediate part respectively of the waist belt 5.
