PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thin structure for a socket unit for a removable recording medium which is attachable and detachable, the structure which enables the plurality of socket units to be mounted in a closely stacked manner. SOLUTION: The socket unit for a recording medium in which a positioning projection which is projected outward and a positioning hole which is to be fitted on the projection are provided respectively on the first face and the second face of a box shaped socket having two faces of a front face and a rear face which are roughly parallel with each other, is characterized in that positions of the plurality of socket units are regulated with the projection and the hole when the plurality of the socket units are stacked in a closed state.
