PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation range restriction device for an operation device in a safe container cargo handling vehicle with high reliability capable of immediately applying a parking brake and a foot brake if any even when a cargo handling device is operated by a radio type operation device. SOLUTION: The container cargo handling vehicle is constituted such that loading/unloading action for loading/unloading a container between a vehicle body and ground and damp action for rearwardly inclining the container on the vehicle body are performed by operation of the cargo handling device mounted on the vehicle body. The operation of the cargo handling device is controlled by a control means 4 based on an operation signal from the radio type operation device 3. An operation restriction means 42 capable of starting the operation by the operation device 3 only during when a permission switch 43 provided in a driver room is operated is provided on the control means 4. Further, an operation restriction means 42 capable of starting the operation by the operation device 3 only for a predetermined time after operation of the permission switch 43 is finished is provided on the control means 4.
