PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear hub for a bicycle which enables a normal spoke to be fitted to and can achieve the weight reduction of a hub body including a projection part to engage the spoke. SOLUTION: The hub main body 20 has a first cylinder part 21 arranged at a first end and a second cylinder part 22 arranged at a second end. A first hub flange has a plurality of first projecting parts 31 which are peripherally formed on the outer peripheral surface of the first cylinder part at intervals and radially project, and has a pair of first spoke engaging holes 32 which are peripherally juxtaposed in the first projecting part and are in parallel with the hub axis. A second hub flange has a plurality of second projecting parts 32 which are peripherally formed on the outer peripheral surface of the second cylinder part at intervals at a peripheral direction point different from the first projecting part and radially project, and has a pair of second spoke engaging holes 34 which are peripherally juxtaposed at the second projecting part and are in parallel with the hub axis. A free wheel is connected to the second end side of the hub body and transmits the rotation of the crank only in one direction to the hub body.
