PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce snow removal costs, in the case of burying a lower blowing-away part by removing snow from a road, of a snow protection fence which is installed on the side of the road, so as to reduce the amount of snow cover on the road etc. in winter and ease barriers to vision. SOLUTION: In this snow protection fence, supports 2 are erected on the windward side of the road at each predetermined interval; a plurality of snow protection plates 3 are provided between supports 2; a lower step of the plate 3 is directed onto a road surface so as to serve as the downward inclined blowing-away part 4; an intermediate step or intermediate and upper steps of the plate 3 serves or serve as a blowing-out part 5 which inhibits the ventilation; and the snow protection fence functions as a blowing-out fence, when the lower blowing-away part 4 is buried, for example, by the removal of the snow from the road.
