PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make switching time equal, irrespective of the difference in light emission quantity with a specified current and to shorten the switching time.
SOLUTION: The semiconductor LED is equipped with a substrate with a back electrode arranged on the rear surface, light-emitting layer formed on the frontal surface of the substrate, current-inhibiting layer arranged on the frontal surface of the substrate with multiple first apertures to pass current and light from the light-emitting layer, current diffusion layer formed on the upper part of the current-inhibiting layer, and electrode formed at the upper part of the light diffusion layer to pass light from the light-emitting layer, at positions facing only a part of the multiple second apertures on the current inhibiting layer. Meanwhile, the voltage on which the predetermined specified current flows is impressed between the electrode and the back electrode, irrespective of light emission quantity needed for the semiconductor LED.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
