<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell unit for enabling simple operation for automatically executing the start/stop sequence of power generation in the fuel cell unit in linking with the start/stop of an information processing unit, and to provide the information processing apparatus and a method for controlling the power supply of the information processing unit. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell unit, the information processing apparatus, and the method for controlling the power supply of the information processing apparatus, there are provided: a power supply means 80 for driving auxiliary equipment 63; a power generation setting switch 112 set to one of power generation permission setting for permitting power generation at a power generation section 40 or power generation inhibition setting for inhibiting the power generation; a power supply control section for transmitting a power generation start command for starting the power generation at the power generation section 40 in the case of the power generation permission setting in the case of activation by an information processing apparatus activation means 114; and a fuel cell control section for starting power generation when the power generation start command is received. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
