<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To streamline editing of print data when using print data on existing printed matter to produce other printed matter. <P>SOLUTION: In an editing system, a data collection program 24 collects print data 28 into a printed matter editing data file 14; a data processing program 25 then reads out the data, checks for errors by using an error correction table 19 to output results from a printer 13, corrects the errors in the data to store an error-corrected data file 15, processes the data by using a document format conversion table 20 to store a format-converted data file 16, and sets the data in an editing information data file 17 to store a set data file 18; and a data editing program 26 automatically edits the data and outputs them from the printer 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
