<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyelectrolyte film with improved ion conductivity, its modifying method, a fuel cell in which the electrolyte film can be reproduced by a simple method after deterioration of the ion conductivity in the electrolyte film and an operation method for the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The polyelectrolyte fuel cell is provided with a polyelectrolyte film heat and humidity processed without application of potential, a deterioration judgement means for measuring the ion conductivity of the fuel cell, and a means for heating and humidify the fuel cell without application of the potential interlocked with a deterioration judgement means. Furthermore, in the operation method for the polyelectrolyte type fuel cell, the ion conductivity of the fuel cell is measured and when the ion conductivity falls below a specified value, the fuel cell is heated and humidified without application of the potential. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
