<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article comprising a highly durable retroreflective sheeting. <P>SOLUTION: An article comprising a substrate, preferably a retroreflective sheeting, having a coating of a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition is provided. Further, an article wherein the adhesive adheres the substrate to a highly monomerically plasticized PVC component, preferably a PVC coated fabric, is also provided. The adhesive comprises a first monofunctional acrylate ester of a non-tertiary alcohol (provided that it has a glass transition temperature of below -25°C as a homopolymer), a moderately basic nitrogen-containing monomer (selected from the group consisting of N,N-dialkyl-substituted amides) copolymerizable with the first monofunctional acrylate ester, and an optional copolymerizable acidic monomer, an arbitrary second monofunctional acrylate ester of a non-tertiary alcohol (provided that it has a glass transition temperature of -25°C or higher), and a crosslinking agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
