PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a conventional rotary head drum device is not only high in cost because of use of a dedicated component, but also can not be improved in productivity because of an increase in assembly man-hour since the dedicated component is needed to fix a stator substrate to a fixed drum as well as an adhesive. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the rotary head drum device which is equipped with a rotary drum 12 having a magnetic head 28 fitted at its outer peripheral edge, the fixed rum 11 which supports the rotary drum 12 rotatably, and the stator substrate 18 which is stored in a recessed part 21 of the fixed drum 11 and fitted with a flexible wiring board 18, and has the flexible wiring board 18 led out through a through hole 44 bored in a flank part of the fixed drum 11.
