PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention system utilizing a portable telephone or PHS. SOLUTION: The crime prevention system is configured in such a way that a small-sized receiver/transmitter having GPS function or the like is provided with an emergency switch so that, when a crime occurs, a person pushes the emergency switch to enable secret transmission of his/her current position, together with a SOS signal, to a portable telephone or PHS of a specific person registered in advance. Thus, the occurrence of crimes is inhibited by producing and popularizing the system utilizing a current position measuring system and an electric wave of the portable telephone or PHS.
