PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which obtains a photographing image even if a battery becomes insufficient during exposure. SOLUTION: The digital camera includes a photographing means for photodetecting a subject image formed by a photographing lens to convert into an electrical image signal, a processor for inputting the image signal from this photographing means, processing and forming the photographing image which can be displayed on a monitor, a battery check means for detecting whether the battery voltage of a drive power source is a predetermined BC level or less, and the monitor for displaying at least one of the photographing image and the battery check result. In the digital camera, when the battery voltage becomes lower than the BC level during the exposure, the exposure is forcibly ended, and the processor starts the inputting of the image signal.
