PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrophilic resin-foamed material for horticulture, excellent in growing plants, and its water absorbent. SOLUTION: This hydrophilic resin-foamed material for the horticulture obtained by foaming a hydrophilic resin having 0.5-20 folds water absorbency peculiar to the resin based on its dried solid resin, by 2-50 folds apparent volume, and the water absorbent obtained by absorbing water in the foamed material are provided. Since the foamed material has a high water-absorbing performance, a high water-absorbing speed and also voids, the growth of roots of a plant is accelerated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
