PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable cosmetic article the base of which is impregnated with an aqueous cosmetic composition. SOLUTION: The water-insoluble and permeable base is impregnated with the cosmetic composition. The base contains at least one fiber of a first group and at least one fiber of a second group with hydrophilicity different from that of the first group fiber. The first and second group fibers are arranged so that a first face of the base has substantially higher hydrophilicity than that of a second face of the base on the other side of the first face.
