<p>An optical fiber array (10) is provided with a board (30) whereupon storing grooves (34) for storing optical fibers (24) are formed, a cover plate (12) for covering the optical fibers (24) stored in the storing grooves (34), and an adhering layer (16) for bonding the board (30), wherein the optical fibers (24) are stored in the storing grooves (34), with the cover plate (12). On the board (30), adhering grooves (36), into which the adhering layer (16) is applied, are formed between the storing grooves (34) which store the optical fibers (24) and the edge part of the board (30). The adhering grooves (36) are formed in V-shape and almost parallel to the storing grooves (34). The adhering grooves (36) (an adhering groove (36a)) are formed in the vicinity of an outermost storing groove (34a) among the storing grooves (34), and in the vicinity of the edge part of the board (30) (an adhering groove (36b)). At least one adhering groove (36) is preferably formed between the outermost storing groove (34a) among the storing grooves (34) and the edge part of the board (30), and a plurality of the adhering grooves may be formed.</p> |
