The invention relates to electrical engineering and permits it to be used in electrical drive systems. Its aim is to improve functional possibilities. The proposed electrical drive comprises short-circuited asynchronous motor with phase windings (2, 3, 4) and rotor (5). The front part of each phase winding is made of lengthening coils (6, 7, 8), which are mounted on the cores (9, 10, 11) of single-phase transformers in each phase. The star-connected additional windings (12, 13, 14) of single-phase transformers are connected to the three-phase rectifier (15) and compensation battery (21) of capacitors. The filtering choke (16) and the line-commutated invertors (17) are connected to the output of each phase. The battery (20) of braking capacitors is connected in parallel with asynchronous motor. Energy partly is regenerated in braking and starting processes and returned back into power network by inverter.
