<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a path detection method for a CDMA wireless communication system capable of excellently carrying out path detection processing by reducing the circuit scale and the processing time. <P>SOLUTION: The presence/no presence of peaks (paths) is detected sequentially from sample points of an obtained profile. When a sample point (n) is used for a processing object for path detection, gradients between the processing object sample point (n) and sample points (n-1)/(n+1) at both sides of the sample point (n) are detected respectively, and further, gradients between the processing object sample point (n) and sample points (n-2)/(n+2) at the next both sides of the sample point (n) are detected respectively. Then on the basis of results of gradient detection, when the gradients from the processing object sample point (n) to the sample points (n-1), (n+1) are downward and further the gradients from the processing object sample point (n) to the sample points (n-2), (n+2) are downward, it is discriminated that the processing object sample point (n) has a peak. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
