<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of making an entire backlight thinner by suppressing the thickness of the mount structure of a light emitting diode disposed on the side of a light guide plate. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device 10 comprises the light guide plate 11, the light emitting diode 12 disposed on the side of the light guide plate 11, a flexible printed board 13 for mounting the light emitting diode 12 thereon, and a frame case 12 for housing and fixing at least each of the components of the light source device 10. The mount of the light emitting diode 12 mounted on the flexible printed board 13 is structured such that the light emitting diode 12 fits a notch part 13C formed on the flexible printed board 13, and a pair of connection terminals 12E provided on opposite sides of the light emitting diode 12 are electrically connected to a wiring electrode 13L formed on one surface side of the flexible printed board 13 via a solder 14 or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
