<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting resin composition and a coating liquid, which has superior ITO sputtering durability to prevent wrinkles, cracks or yellowing from occurring on the film surface during ITO sputtering at high temperature and which have superior effect of suppressing transfer of liquid crystal contaminants from the inside or the outside a color filter, to provide a resin cured product obtained by curing the composition or the coating liquid, and to provide a liquid crystal display apparatus, a solid-state imaging device and a display apparatus having layers of the resin composition. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosetting resin composition for a protective film of a color filter contains (A) a epoxy group-containing resin; (B) a curing agent which is a compound selected from a group, consisting of polyvalent carboxylic acids, polyvalent carboxylic acid anhydrides and polyvalent carboxylic acids with blocked carboxyl groups; and (C) an antioxidant.
