<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a booklet so that paper dust does not stick near the cut end of the booklet and to eliminate the trouble caused by paper dust in equipment such as an ATM by making the cut end clean. <P>SOLUTION: In the edge cutting method of the booklet, a plurality of paper sheets are sewn near the center by a machine and folded at the sewn part to form a spine. At the time of cutting, the booklet is held with pressure in a manner that the sheets are nearly closely adhered to each other, and then the booklet is cut in a prescribed dimension by a laser beam which is movably controlled along the edges in the three sides of the booklet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
